Monomethylamine anhydrous
Physical property:
It is colorless gas at normal temperature and pressure, with a specific gravity of 1.07 times that of air. Flammable, explosive, strong irritating ammonia-like odor. Alkalinity is stronger than ammonia. Generally pressurized into liquid for storage or transportation.
Purpose:
Monomethylamine has a wide range of industrial uses, mainly used as raw materials for pharmaceuticals (activation, caffeine, ephedrine, etc.), pesticides (carbaryl, dimethoate, chlordimeform, etc.), dyes (alizarin intermediates, anthraquinone intermediates, etc.), explosives and fuels (water gel explosives, monomethylhydrazine, etc.), surfactants, accelerators, rubber auxiliaries, photographic chemicals, solvents, etc.
